The Altruistic Lion
Last updated on April 21, 2010
A blue bird finds shelter
In the mouth of a lion
Talons on tongue
Wings tickle cheeks
The smell of meat
Warmly envelops
A lion completes
His wreath-rimmed yawn
Rests his head
And endeavors to not swallow
The blue bird will sleep
In his hollow haven
On rolling pink sheet
Until the morning
When he’ll be hiccuped
Bid goodbye
And welcomed at evening
